Softball had a successful building year. They had a playoff win. Interest and enthusiasm are growing for the sport of softball here at Annapolis High School. They are looking to break out next year with the foundation set this year. They will miss Lindsey Redlin who will be attending Wooster College and Kim Schmalfuss who will be attending AACC. This year Rishelle Charles had a great season. She led the team in every batting category. She had a batting average of .479 and an on base percentage of .588 with 2 home runs, 3 triples, and 4 doubles. Rishelle was consequently our MVP. Whitney Lamb was the Unsung Hero, doing a brillant job on the mound for us. The team looks forward to next year to improve even more and have a winning season in 2002!
