Girls' Indoor Track

The girls had another stellar year indoors, finishing just a point behind Arundel in the county championship meet. County champions included Erin Masterson (who pulled off an incredible triple, winning the 1600, 3200, and the 800, the last breaking the county record held by AHS Kristen Nicolini set in 1992). Other Panthers earning first, and thus making the All-County team, were junior Maleka Diggs (high jump) and senior Kerra Strum (pole vault). Masterson also won the 1600 in the regional meet, and despite finishing second overall in the race, set a 3A state record in the event at the state meet. The team bids farewell to three seniors who participated all four of their high school years: Kristy Dirks, Ashley Kopack, and Erin Masterson. Other seniors completing their indoor career are Sylvia Horvath (3 years), and Kerra Strum ( 2 years).
