We were proud to be a State Quarter Finalist this year. Mike Womack, Eric Venerable, and Sung Yung were All County First Team. Kareem Reed and Darren Johnson were All County Second Team. Junior Demario Harris was All County and All Metro First Team. Junior Darius Johnson was All County Second Team.
This was an outstanding year for us even though we graduated 22 players from the previous year and had only 13 starters returning. We led the county in scoring and in defense by giving up the fewest points. Also, this was our fifth straight year in the playoffs. No other county school has ever accomplished this feat, but this is the second time that we did. We were in the playoffs six straight times from 1844-1989.
